About the Role
This is a one-year, full-time Medical Registrar position based in Whangārei (WRE), combining research and clinical service:
- 0.8 FTE dedicated to clinical research
- 0.2 FTE in gastroenterology service, including endoscopy
- Supervised by the thriving Whangārei gastroenterology department
- Opportunities for additional after-hours gastroenterology work
You will work closely with an experienced research team while maintaining hands-on clinical involvement in gastroenterology, creating a unique hybrid role that supports both service delivery and clinical innovation.
About You
- Registered Medical Practitioner with a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Medical Registrar with an interest in gastroenterology
- Passion for clinical research and improving patient outcomes
- Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail
- Well-organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
