Middlemore Hospital
ACTT is New Zealand’s largest public‑hospital clinical trials network, delivering world‑class research through a nationally coordinated, hospital‑embedded model that enables fast start‑up, reliable recruitment, and strong participant retention.
The Middlemore site has supported more than 500 participants across Phase I–IV clinical trials, working with over 23 hospital departments. It is a modern, multidisciplinary site staffed by experienced research nurses, coordinators and administrators.With an on‑site pharmacy and laboratory, the site has built a strong track record in patient recruitment across multiple therapeutic areas since its establishment in 2001.

About Middlemore Hospital
Middlemore Hospital is one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary hospitals, serving the diverse South Auckland population of Counties Manukau. It provides comprehensive medical and surgical services and delivers care to nearly 100,000 inpatients and more than 500,000 outpatients each year. Middlemore is home to nationally specialised services including the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit and the National Burns Centre, along with KidzFirst Children’s Hospital, maternity services, a 24‑hour emergency department, intensive care and advanced cardiac services.

At the main entrance (Gate 1) turn left and go past the main public carparks. Dedicated parking for Aotearoa Clinical Trials is clearly marked just past the Ko Awatea Building.
