ACTT Demonstrates Continued Excellence with IAOCR Gold Accreditation
Apr 28, 2026

ACTT has successfully achieved re-certification with the International Accrediting Organisation for Clinical Research (IAOCR), for both GCSA Site Certification – The Global Quality Standard for Clinical Research Sites and Workforce Process Quality Certification (WPQC), reaffirming the operational excellence that underpins its clinical research delivery. This certification has been awarded to ACTT’s Middlemore and Whangārei Hospital sites for the third consecutive year.
In addition, ACTT has now achieved Gold level certification for the IAOCR Workforce Process Quality Certification (WPQC) - progressing from Silver level which it has maintained over the last two years. This milestone has been driven by our people and delivered with consistency, quality and momentum.
“Achieving GCSA re-certification and Workforce Process Quality Certification at Gold level is a proud moment for ACTT and a strong endorsement of the workforce quality and consistency our team brings to clinical trials every day. Both certifications reflect sustained performance and our commitment to operational excellence against independently assessed global standards. This recognition belongs to our people, whose professionalism and collaboration make outcomes like this possible.” Karen Carter.
Aotearoa Clinical Trials continues to strengthen its position as a nationally connected clinical research organisation, underpinned by robust, independently assured quality systems and a highly skilled clinical research workforce. As part of a growing clinical research alliance, ACTT is well positioned to deliver participant-centred trials at scale while advancing clinical research capability across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Achieving both of these certifications with IAOCR reinforces ACTT’s position as a globally benchmarked, trusted delivery partner for sponsors and CROs - delivering clinical trials to an internationally recognised standard.
Why this matters
As the first organisation in New Zealand to achieve both GCSA and WPQC Certification, ACTT set the benchmark for quality in clinical research. Now, in our third consecutive year of holding these global quality standards, ACTT continues to be part of a select group of independently certified, internationally recognised clinical trial organisations.
This sustained achievement reinforces ACTT's leadership position and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to maintaining and advancing the highest global standards.
