Dr John Baker

Dr John Baker led the formation of the Diabetes service at Counties Manukau as Clinical Head from 1998-2003. Dr Baker is an Endocrinologist for Counties Manukau, and has been the Principal Investigator in over 40 clinical trials in diabetes and lipid disorders at Aotearoa Clinical Trials. In 2025, Dr Baker stepped down as the Clinical Director of ACTT and moved into his current role of Clinical Head of the Whitiora Diabetes Service.
